Woman
  • Have YOU ever wondered what you could do after being diagnosed with Glaucoma?

  • Have YOU ever felt HELPLESS?

  • Have YOU ever felt like there was nothing that you can do?

  • Have YOU spent endless nights worried about your vision?

Glaucoma is a disease of the eye that can lead to slowly progressive and irreversible damage to the optic nerve due. Most often, the damage to the optic nerve occurs due to an elevated eye pressure (IOP) which if left untreated, can lead to blindness. Currently IOP is the only modifiable risk factor and our current treatments aim to lower IOP. Known as the “Sneak Thief of Sight”, it often goes unrecognized without symptoms and people often do not know they have it. Currently we focus on eliminating glaucoma blindness amongst people by spreading awareness and motivating people to get regular checkups, check their IOP, and have their optic nerve examined. Proper care, regular check-ups and safety measures can help to eradicate blindness among many people suffering from glaucoma blindness.
